Camp for Climate Action 2009
The Camp For Climate Action 2009 took place in London from the 27th of August to the 2nd of September. The week long of actions, workshops and debates started with a coordinated action on Thursday 27th with the Climate Camp Swoop, during which the final secret location for the Camp was announced. Hundreds of people descended onto Blackheath in Greenwich to assemble the marquees, tents, tripods and perimeter fences for the camp to begin.
Indymedia London was busy covering the unfolding events as they happened, introducing new features for the site; the brand new Mobile IMC-London and a new form of reporting called Tumblewire both accessible directly from people's mobile phones.
